Why check your domain status?

If your Moroccan .ma domain lacks proper identity documents, the ANRT registry may enforce a serverHold suspension without warning. Checking your status is the critical first step to restoring your services.

  • Website suddenly shows "Site Not Reached" errors
  • Professional emails bounce back or stop receiving
  • DNS records are completely wiped from the registry

Understanding Domain Statuses

When you check a .ma domain, you might encounter one of these official EPP statuses. Here's what they mean.

OK / Active

Your domain is active and functioning normally. Your website and emails are fully operational.

pendingCreate

The domain registration is pending validation by the ANRT. Documents may be required to finalize it.

serverHold

The domain has been suspended by the ANRT, usually due to missing or invalid holder documents. DNS is disabled.

How to Fix a Suspended Domain

1

Identify the Missing Documents

For individuals, this is a CIN. For Moroccan companies, a Trade Register (Modèle 7). For foreigners, a passport or certificate of incorporation.

2

Contact your Registrar

You must send these exact documents to us, your domain name provider. Only we can forward them to the ANRT.

3

Wait for Reactivation

Once submitted, the ANRT usually reviews and lifts the serverHold suspension within 2 to 4 business days.
